Staying engaged and involved

Ask your child about his day in school, what he learned and what he worked on. Through repetition a child is able to learn better and be able to retain information.

Some questions to ask: What was your favorite part of the school day?

Who did you play with?

What did you learn in math class?

What Bible verses did you learn?

What were some of the stories that you read?

This will make your child think about some of the material that he learned that day!!

Ask about homework. Look through their backpacks. Make sure that assignments are completed correctly and handed in on time.

If you need more suggestions of how you can be more involved with your child and their school work, our teachers are more than happy to provide tips and advice.
